what the f-stop

Hi,

I’m Jess, a photographer and designer. I am currently focusing on other things in my life, such as family and traveling, but am available for freelance work. Although I currently live near the Houston, Texas area, that is about to change 😉

I have a passion for the piano; I once thought I might become a music composer and songwriter. Currently, I’m working on my illustration skills through drawing, watercolors, and color pencils. I also have a thing for calligraphy and hand lettering, but those are hobbies of mine.

My favorite books include Puerto Vallarta Squeeze by Robert James Waller, The Awakening by Kate Chopin, and The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman. Favorite series are John Dies at the End by David Wong, and pretty much anything by indie author Ella Summers! No, seriously though, I like to read.

Notes on the About Me animation:
I used stock photography and a stock kit to create it. Animated in Adobe After Effects and the stop-motion animation effect was not NEARLY as easy as I thought it would be! A lot of fun to work on.
